Mr. Amabile represents a wide variety of businesses in Federal Courts, State Courts, and arbitrations throughout Georgia and the United States. He acted as national counsel for a New York company defending multiple lawsuits brought under various state's blue sky laws, lead the defense of synthetic stucco claims throughout North Georgia for multiple homebuilders, and represents both public and private companies in a wide variety of disputes and claims. He regularly appears before trial courts, appellate courts and arbitrators. Among other results, Mr. Amabile won a seven figure arbitration award on behalf of a general contractor in a delay claim, obtained a federal court judgment against a developer arising from the fifty million dollar sale of a shopping center, and achieved a pre-trial dismissal of a multi-million dollar claim against his client. He has also participated in over one hundred mediations and negotiated many settlements on terms favorable to his clients.
Mr. Amabile practices in the areas of commercial, construction and securities related litigation. He has lectured in continuing legal education seminars on the use of expert witnesses in lawsuits and arbitrations, as well as on areas related to construction defect litigation. He is the co-author of Chapter 72, Warranties, in
Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts, Second Edition (West Group & ABA, 2005). He is a charter member of the National Association of Home Builders' Construction Law Attorney Forum. He is admitted to practice law before both trial and appellate courts in the States of Georgia and New York, the Ninth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and several United States District Courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.
Mr. Amabile received a B.A. degree from Hamilton College in 1989 and a J.D. Degree, with honors, from Emory University School of Law in 1992. He is also a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Mr. Amabile was an Associate Editor on the Emory Journal of International Law and was the Chief Justice of the School's Honor Court.
Mr. Amabile is a founding member and vice-chairman of the Falcon Nation Charity Organization. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Northside United Methodist Church Preschool and the Development Committee of the Children's Museum of Atlanta.
