Speaking Engagements:

  • Partner Christian Torgrimson recently spoke on two panels, "Strategic Discovery" and "How the Case Was Won" at the national 6th Annual ALI-ABA Seminar, Condemnation 101: Making the Complex Simple in Eminent Domain in Coral Gables, Florida. 

  • Partners Charles Purlsey and Christian Torgrimson spoke at the annual seminar of the Eminent Domain Section of the State Bar of Georgia on March 2, 2011.  Mr. Pursley also presented the Pursley Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award in the practice that is given in his name each year by the Eminent Domain Section.

Publications:

  • Partner Christian Torgrimson and associate Angela Robinson authored the article, "The Case for Recovery of Business Loss in the Taking of Real Property," for the Annual Review published by the ABA Section of Litigation Condemnation, Zoning & Land Use Litigation Committee, Winter 2011 edition. 

Awards:

  • Partners Charles Pursley, Jo Lanier Meeks, and R. Hal Meeks were recently selected as 2011 Super Lawyers by Georgia Super Lawyers and Atlanta Magazine.

Joining the Firm:

  • Ms. Janine Willis recently joined the Firm as an associate in our litigation group.  Ms. Willis is a 2009 graduate of Emory School of Law and a 2005 graduate of Princeton University.  Prior to her law career, Ms. Willis was a member of the Canadian Women's National Soccer Team.

  • Ms. Amanda Wilson recently joined the Firm as an associate in our litigation group.  Ms. Wilson is a 2010 graduate of Emory University School of law and a 2007 graduate of Tulane University.  Prior to joining Purlsey Lowery Meeks LLP, Ms. Wilson was employed by King & Spalding, LLP.
